From Shianoukville, we continued our way west-ward along the coast to the frontier town of Koh Kong, adjacent to the Thai border. The main attraction that drew us there was the Peam Krasaop National Park, a stretch of protected land and coastline that is home to thousands of mangrove tree clusters that dot the water like floating islands. We took a walk through one of the larger "islands" and then rented a boat to weave through the waterways for a more panoramic view. This detour was well worth it as the pictures below will hopefully show:
